The Hermosa Beach School System Expands

The Hermosa Beach school system is going to expand by adding new campuses to accommodate the growing population. This is great news for parents considering moving to Hermosa Beach for the wonderful schools, the weather, and the amazing quality of life.  The architectural company Gkk Works is creating some plans for the city, and will definitely be revamping the former North School campus.
An interesting fact: in 1950, 1,430 students attended six schools in Hermosa Beach. Today, the same number of children attend two schools. This is what has prompted the district and parents to consider expanding once again. Right now, either a modernization of the existing buildings, or a redevelopment of new campuses, will definitely happen, making the Hermosa Beach School District even more able to accommodate its students.

There’s a website set up for locals called speakuphermosaschools.org where parents can speak their mind and share ideas when it comes the Hermosa Beach school expansion. On the site, it states, “Why has Hermosa schools student enrollment increased annually since 1993? Because of the safe schools and neighborhoods, high academic achievement, a supportive community, dedicated employees, and visionary programs.” I couldn’t have said it better myself! You can check out more information about the school system at www.hbcsd.org.
